Espelho (Mirror) (2013)
Espelho (meaning ‘Mirror’) is a Very Creative & Beautifully made short film (15 min) from Brazil about relationships, shot entirely in a bathroom, without any dialogues, directed by Juliana Milheiro.
Duration: 15m
Flavour: Catalina Aguayo (Spanish Actress)
Language: Silent
Shot in: Brazil
Directed by Juliana Milheiro, starring Leonardo Corajo & Babi Fernandes, Espelho is a short story of a couple’s daily life, as seen from the other side of the mirror in their bathroom, which shows how minor conflicts in their relationship causing friction between them, reflect in their bathroom mirror, indicating the romance in their life is no longer what it used to.
Surreally, without them realizing it, their reflections in the mirror take on lives of their own and create a replica couple in an alternate reality…
And then the Interesting, Captivating, Mind-bending, Psychological ride begins.
Every little, often trivial, thing that causes conflicts between the couple on this side of the mirror, is played out on the other side, by the alternate couple, in a Funny, Loving & Romantic way (the way it should have been).
Leaving the viewer with the realization that all conflicts, all problems in a loving relationship, can be faced and resolved with a little Love, a little Playfulness & by not taking life too seriously 💚
A Simple yet High Impact message about looking at things differently within a relationship.
And yes, Babi Fernandes is a Spanish Hottie with a Delicious Booty and an Amazing Smile.
